VALIDATION OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY FOR HEALTH CARE IN VIOLENCE AGAINST URBAN-RURAL WOMEN

Authors

Abstract

Introduction: Violence against women, especially sexual violence and violence perpetrated by intimate partners, has been a major public health problem and is clearly a human rights violation that continues to be perpetrated within gender inequality. In Brazil, the states of Rio de Janeiro, Rondônia, and Amazonas have the highest rates of women reporting domestic or family violence caused by men. Addressing violence against rural women needs to be understood by both security and health professionals so that victims can be referred for professional care. Developing educational technology to support professionals in reporting violence against urban-rural women can help implement assertive public policies to combat gender-based violence. Objective: To search for dissertations and theses that developed educational technologies to address violence against women and the validation methods adopted. Methodology: This bibliometric review was conducted in the national database Portal Capes de Teses e Dissertaçãoes (CAPES) on the topic of validating educational instruments/technologies developed to combat violence against women. The strategy used was "violence" AND "validation," and only doctoral and master's theses and dissertations were selected as the category for refining results. Results: Five academic studies related to the research topic were selected. The studies used validation studies to develop the instruments and ICV and TRI to validate the constructed material. Final considerations: There were few studies focused on this topic, which involves health care for women victims of violence.
