Abstract

Objective: To provide opportunities for reflection on VAW reporting in urban and rural contexts through educational workshops on PE for PHC professionals. Method: Qualitative, descriptive experience report describing the experience of master's students in the postgraduate program in organizing a PEH workshop stemming from an extension project entitled: PE in health as a strategy to enhance the qualification of urban and rural VAW surveillance actions. The activity took place in June 2025. The following topics were addressed: The Importance of VAW Reporting in Primary Care (PC) Services; Impacts of Invisibility: How Lack of Data Underestimates the Problem's Magnitude; "VAW Reporting in Rural, Urban, and Peri-Urban Contexts: Challenges in Completing the Form"; "Educational Technology (ET): A Proposal to Strengthen VAW Reporting for PHC Professionals in Rural Contexts"; and "Validation of ET on VAW Reporting for PHC Professionals in Rural Contexts." Results: Participants raised many questions regarding how to complete the form, questions about the legal professional responsibility for completing it, and what training actions management could offer to improve indicators. Therefore, a proposal was presented to health professionals to act as participants and protagonists in the development of an ET that supports the completion of the VAW Reporting Form for those living in rural contexts, contributing to raising awareness of this serious public health problem.
