Characterization of climatic conditions in the wine-growing municipalities of Videira and Curitibanos in the years 2019 and 2020

The analysis and monitoring of meteorological variables in the management and development of agricultural practices is fundamental for the success of crops. Studies on the climatic potential of certain regions make it possible to choose the most adapted species. Climatic data make it possible to predict different events, such as the exit from the dormancy period and the occurrence of conditions favorable to diseases. the objective of this work was to characterize the climatic behavior of two regions based on the variables collected in meteorological stations. The variables are: precipitation, solar radiation, temperature and relative air humidity, collected in the years 2019 and 2020. The meteorological stations are located in the municipalities of Videira/SC, Curitibanos/SC. The municipality of Videira/2019 had a total rainfall of 1,979.40 mm, and monthly rainfall between 316 and 41. In 2020 there was a reduction in the volume of rain, obtaining 1,558.80 mm. annual and monthly ranging from 324 to 19 mm. Curitibanos/2019 there was an accumulation of 1,544 mm, with a monthly amplitude of 195 to 25 mm. Annual rainfall of 1,629.40 mm was recorded in 2020, ranging from 235 to 30 mm per month. The average radiation followed a pattern, Vine with an average of 190.53 W/m². and Curitibanos with 174.83W/m². Curitibanos obtained relative humidity of 87.46%, and Vine 78.27%. It was observed that the hottest monthly average temperatures occurred in January/2019 (21.89 °C), and the lowest in June/2020 (10.76 °C). The minimum temperature observed in Curitibanos was in July/2020 (-6.74 °C), and the maximum in October/2020 (33.70 °C). The month with the highest average temperatures was in January/2019 (21.89 °C) and the lowest in June/2020 (10.76 °C). The minimum temperature observed in Curitibanos was in August/2020 (-4.21 °C). The maximum temperature recorded was in October/2020 (36.94 °C). It was observed that the maximum and minimum temperature was obtained in 2020 in all measured locations, thus presenting the highest thermal amplitude in two years.
